There were 1600 people questioned in 153 built-up areas in 46 provinces, regions and republics of Russian Federation. The first place with 14% of the voices is occupying Dima Bilan as the «singer of the year». Why Dima Bilan?

The most important factor that influences the popularity of different singers and actors is an artist’s confidence.
It is necessary to be yourself. When you try and act just like the popular people, you are being a follower, NOT a leader. Act like yourself and let other people want to act like YOU. That is the key to this whole popularity thing.

Conclusion
Lots of articles from various sources of information, Dima Bilan’s opinion, people’s thoughts about different ways to glory and my own experience help me to understand that there are 20 factors influencing the popularity of artists.
To sum up I would like to observe that there are 2 basic factors that influence the popularity: an artist’s motivation and a talent.
